Description:
The bundle, signed by Eurotech, allows to update the production security policy file suggested by Eurotech.
With this update, the policy will now accept all the software signed by a leaf certificate countersigned by Eurotech Software CA.
The update, in this way, allows the framework security policy to not be directly tied to a specific certificate DN, introducing
more agility and supporting different sets of leaf certificates all signed by the Eurotech protected CA.
Usage:
The bundle can be used in the following scenarios:
- on an ESF prior to 6.1.2, in production mode, to update the existing production policy when an add-on provided by Eurotech is installed but does not start due to security restrictions.
- on an ESF prior to 6.1.2, in production mode, to update the running security policy and make it even with the security policy requirements of ESF 6.1.2
Compatibility:
The bundle is compatible with all the currently supported ESF versions.
